This distressed fireplace mantel is custom-made just for you. Constructed from solid Alder hardwood and made to resemble a solid hardwood beam. The hollow core makes it much lighter, with an open back that is mounted to your wall with a French Cleat (see installation video link). Installation is simple and strong. This distressed fireplace mantel is custom-made just for you. Constructed from solid Alder hardwood and made to resemble a solid hardwood beam. Each mantel is distressed and hand-hewn, with attention to every detail, adding scrapes, nicks, and cracks and working with the natural characteristics of the knotted wood to bring a beautiful, aged appearance. Distressing will vary from mantel to mantel. Finished with either a hand-rubbed finish oil that gives a matte, natural look to the wood or with a low-sheen satin polyurethane finish.
HARDWARE: All mounting hardware is included for sheetrock installation. If you are installing on a masonry surface, we will provide masonry screws. (Drill bits not included)
NOTE: Due to variations in wood grain, pattern, and textures the color may be slightly different than the samples shown. We make every effort to match the listing samples, but each wood piece is unique and may take the stain differently.
